Mission Statement and Instructor Bios
Mr. Richard Gordon
Mr. Gordon has been the band director at Sycamore Jr. High School since 2002.  He has taken great pride in developing a well rounded music program at Sycamore, while at the same time establishing a very close working relationship with the Students and Staff at Anaheim High School, where most of Sycamore's students will receive their 9th - 12th grade education.  Mr. Gordon  arranges all percussion music performed by both the Sycamore J.H.S. Drumline and the Anaheim H.S. Drumline, and assists Mr. Domingues with the design and instruction of the Anaheim H.S. Colonial Regiment field show each year.   Mr. Gordon received his B.A. from California State University, Fullerton and his Masters Degree in Music at the University of Southern Oregon.


Mr. Scott Domingues
Mr. Domingues has been the band director at Anaheim High School since 2003.  During these past four years, the Instrumental Music and Pageantry program has seen growth and development in all areas of performance while doubling the number of participants. Previous to his appointment at Anaheim High, Mr. Domingues taught as a saxophone and marching instructor for many area schools including Rubidoux, JW North, and Kennedy High School. Mr. Domingues received his B.A. from Cal State Fullerton and his M.M. at the University of Southern Oregon.
Mrs. Stephanie Gordon
Mrs. Gordon is an administrative specialist with the Guest Talent Programs department at Disneyland.  She travels with the Sycamore and Anaheim Drumline to every competition and performance, and is responsible for most of the pictures found on this website.  Mrs. Gordon also received her B.A. from Cal State Fullerton and is currently teaching private flute lessons in her free time.  
The Sycamore Jr. High School Drumline instructional staff takes great pride in helping to create a safe, educational environment in which students will develop musical
skills, leadership skills, and a sense of responsibility
and dedication that will transfer to other areas of life.
Mr. Richard "Huck" Huang
Mr. Richard S. Huang has had a wealth of experience the realm of percussion. He has served as a percussion judge for the SCSBOA and the USSBA band circuit. Mr. Huang performs professionally as a member of the Trash Can Trio (Percussion Ensemble) at the Disneyland Resort. He marched snare with the Velvet Knights Drum Corps in 1994. He has been an educator for organizations such as:

The Sycamore Drumline Students and Staff would like to thank The Anaheim Union High School District and the Administrative team at Sycamore for their continuing support for our activities. 

We would also like to thank all of the parents who have  provided encouragement and support to our students. 
The Pacific Crest Drum Corps in 2006 & 2007 (Caption Head), Troopers Drum Corps in 2003, 2004 Taipei Yeufu, and numerous high school programs including the 2001 WGI Percussion Silver Medalists, Fountain Valley High School Drumline.  Mr. Huang has earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology from California State University, Long Beach, and is currently enrolled in CSUF pursuing a teaching credential in History.
The Sycamore Drumline has won the ADLA Championship  three times!
